Astrelle, "the app", is made by Anoran Technology. Here's exactly what info the app uses and what happens to it. Short version: it stays with you.
Info stored on your device
To personalise your daily guide, you enter your name, gender, birth date, birth time and birthplace. If you turn on cycle tracking, the app also saves the period days you log. All of this lives only on your iPhone, in the app's private storage, so the widget can show it. It's never sent to us or anyone else.
Apple Health / HealthKit
If you connect Apple Health, Astrelle reads and writes menstrual flow data only, and only to show and predict your cycle inside the app.
- Health data never leaves your device because of Astrelle.
- It's never used for ads or marketing, never shared with third parties, and never stored in iCloud by Astrelle.
- You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Astrelle.
Birthplace search
When you search for your birthplace, the search text goes to Apple Maps to find the city's coordinates and time zone. Apple handles that under its own privacy policy. Astrelle never touches your current location.
Notifications
All notifications are scheduled locally on your device. There's no push server.
Deleting your data
Use Me → Reset & redo onboarding to wipe your profile and logged days, or just delete the app. Data you saved to Apple Health stays in Health until you remove it there.
Kids
Astrelle isn't aimed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect any data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version goes up on this page with a new date.
